Family Room Ensuite, has a double bed and two single beds £95.00 for 3 persons, £110.00 for 4 persons . A travelcot is available free of charge.

All our rooms are RAC 3 diamond standard with Colour Television, and Tea/Coffee making facilities.
A standard room has no ensuite facilities. It shares a bathroom along the same corridor with approximately four other rooms. An Ensuite room has the above with an Ensuite shower room, W.C and handbasin.
A hairdryer is also available.

The Hotel Amenities:
The comfortable lounge bar, full of character is ideal for a drink or satisfying meal from our extensive blackboard menu. We are open every lunchtime and most evenings.

Parking:
We have a very small car park at the side of the Hotel. If this is full, go up Windhill and take the first right at the police station where a public car park is available. There are many public car parks in town.
Being in the centre of Bishops Stortford we are within walking distance to most of our beautiful churches and Registry Office. The Castle Gardens are down the hill from us allowing a restful walk without leaving the Town Centre.

The History Of the George Hotel:
The George Hotel is the oldest Inn in Bishops Stortford and the third oldest in Hertfordshire.Standing at the junction of North Street and Windhill, the George Hotel is first mentioned in 1417 but was probably built towards the end of the 14th Century. During the 15th century it was the court of Piggotts Manor.
Charles 1 dined at the George in 1629 and from the late 18th to the early 19th Century it served as the Excise Office for Bishops Stortford.
